She is known for her keen eye for the hottest new outfits and enviable wardrobe. But Sarah Jessica Parker took style matching to a new and unworkable level as she dropped her daughter's to school on Wednesday wearing double denim. The 49-year-old actress was spotted wearing a multitude of denim layers as she did the school run with twins Tabitha and Marion in New York's West Village.
Blue was also clearly the order of the day for the Sex and the City star, who wore loose fitting boy-cut jeans and a light blue denim shirt. She completed her outfit with patchwork blue jacket and white platform trainers and she slung her handbag over one of her shoulders and let it leisurely rest on her hips.
The last few weeks have proven to be busy for Sarah Jessica, who launched her own shoe line SJP Collection in February at American fashion retailer Nordstrom. But she still had time to publicly reprimand relationship expert Sarah J. Symonds on Twitter last week after Symonds reportedly commented that her children don't look like her.
"Jeans and a really great grey sweatshirt," she told the Huffington Post. "And a really fancy necklace and really fancy shoes! The truth is, I wear jeans probably more than all my other woman friends."
Sarah Jessica also recently opened up about her personal style and how it has changed over the years. "I think it's certain my style has changed," she told Fashionista. "I think, first of all, your point of view changes. And probably, if you look back at choices you made five years ago, you wouldn’t necessarily regret anything — you might go, 'I don't know if I would wear that dress today,' but you were probably really happy wearing it at the time."
With fashionistas around the world looking to Sarah Jessica for style inspiration, the actress revealed that while she doesn't tend to follow trends anymore, she admitted she thought they played an important role in how she dresses herself nowadays.
